The job search can be so lonely! It’s disheartening enough without the added sense of being the only one looking.
The good news is that there are several resources to help you find community while you search. You can find local support on platforms like Meetup and Briefcase Coach Churches, community centers, and even chambers of commerce are often great for in=person support.
And don’t forget online resources. You can find for groups on LinkedIn and other social media sites, as well. (I’m not listing any specifics because these change so quickly, and many are specific to a community or industry. Get creative with your search terms!) Other virtual resources include FairyGodBoss, Job Search Councils (free but fairly high commitment) and JobMob.
Check your local public library, too. They often have loads of helpful resources, including training, coaching, and lists of organizations in your area that can help.
You don’t have to feel alone in your search. There are many others out there in the same boat, and you will likely be pleasantly surprised by how much many of these job-searchers are not losers.
